A 21-year-old student has been arrested for killing his parents and sister and killing them for opposing his addiction to online gaming. The accused used stones to smash the heads of his family members; he tried to hide after committing the crime but was later taken into police custody.

The deceased were identified as Prasant Sethy alias Kalia (65), his wife Kanaklata (62) and daughter Rosalin (25). The accused Surjyakant Sethy was trying to flee but was arrested by police from nearby Girls High School in the vicinity.
