The SpaceX Crew-10 mission, which focused on bringing back NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore has been delayed. As per the announcement from NASA< due to an issue with the hydraulic system, the launch has been postponed, likely for Friday.

"Mission managers met this evening and decided to wave off a launch attempt on Thursday, March 13, due to high winds and precipitation forecasted in the flight path of Dragon," said NASA.

A confirmation of the delay was also posted by SpaceX on X, stating it was "standing down from the launch opportunity."

On board the Crew-10 mission are NASA astronauts Anne McClain and Nichole Ayers, JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) astronaut Takuya Onishi, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Kirill Peskov.

The SpaceX crew Dragon was set to go to the International Space Station (ISS) and bring back Williams and Wilmore, who have been stranded for the last 10 months.

Once the mission is cleared for launch,mgbet Crew-10's arrival at the space station, will prompt the handover process and initiate procedures for Crew-9's departure.

Among the affected areas were Pandarak and Fatuha blocks in Patna, and Hilsa block in Nalanda, they added.

During this, ISS will briefly host both crews simultaneously. Four days after Crew-10's launch, Williams and Wilmore, accompanied by NASA's Nick Hague and Alexander Gorbunov who arrived with Crew-9, will board their vessel for the return journey to Earth.

NASA and SpaceX are hopeful for the Friday launch from the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida.

Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore left for a 10-day mission in June 2024. Howeverbrtpg, due to technical difficulties with the Boeing Starliner spacecraft, the NASA astronauts have remained stranded for nearly 10 months and the spacecraft returned empty.
